You've just been gifted a stunning bouquet or perhaps you've indulged in treating yourself to some gorgeous blooms. Taking care of these beauties is crucial, but it can also be a bit daunting, considering each type of flower comes with its unique set of care instructions and lifespans. Don't worry, though! Here at Patricia's Flowers, we've put together a charming little guide to help you ensure your flowers and plants stay vibrant and fresh for as long as possible.

Bouquet

  1. Choose your favorite vase and fill it with room temperature water, about two-thirds full.

  2. Carefully take off the base packaging, but keep the bouquet tied together to maintain its original design (or, if you're feeling creative, you can untie it!).

  3. Snip 2cm off the ends of the stems at an angle.

  4. Make sure to remove any leaves that would sit below the water line, as this helps prevent bacteria growth.

  5. It's crucial to change the water and trim the stems every 2-3 days.

  6. If you want to give your flowers a little extra boost, feel free to add some flower preservative.

Box Arrangment/Foam Arrangment

  1. Check the arrangement daily to see if the foam is still damp. (The arrangment should be fairly heavily)

  2. If dry, add ½ cup of water through the centre of the arrangement.
